Drawplates

Jewelry chains benefit greatly from being pulled through a drawplate. Passing a wire chain through the properly sized hole smooths the links, removes kinks, and straightens the chain for a clean, uniform appearance. As the chain is drawn, the metal is gently compressed, which work hardens and slightly lengthens the wire, adding strength without sacrificing flexibility.
