"I bought this little vise to hold PMC jewelry after it has been fired, but I have additional work to do on the piece. I do not believe it is plastic - it totally feels like metal to me and has been very sturdy to use. I did not want to spend a lot of money because I don't use this that often, but I wanted something small and reliable and it has been perfect. The rubber clamps are great so that my finish isn't marred and it tilts any direction I want. I wouldn't use anything else!"

"I am currently in the process of returning this item. Although "pretty", I expected it would be made out of metal.... Not a mixture of good plastic and cheap plastic. For my usage I don't think it will hold up at all. Thankfully, your return process gets 5 Stars."
