3M Sponge Sanding Pads

Use to refine metal clay greenware and finish all metals. These pads work especially well for shaping unfired dry metal clay. This is a full sized pad measuring 4-1/2" x 5-1/2". Aluminum oxide is waterproof-bonded to the sponge material yielding a flexible, yet firm pad. Use to polish after applying a patina. The pad surface easily polishes the high spots leaving the recesses dark.

Micro Fine = 1200 - 1500Grit

Ultra Fine = 800 - 1000 Grit

Super Fine = 500 - 600 Grit

Fine = 300 - 400 Grit

Medium = 120 - 180 Grit

Great addition for my PMC

"I do not have all the sanding pads in all the different grit levels. But I recently bought this little item and LOVE it! I go straight from filing with my diamond needle files to this handy pad and it does the trick. I know that I "should" use all those others in between, but for now, this is working. I did what was suggested in the video and cut it into little square pieces which makes it a breeze to work with and get into crevasses. Love it!"
