Montana Agate Gemstone - Pear Cabochon 22mm x 41mm - Pak of 1
The Montana agate is usually a creamy light yellow to almost clear color with embedded moss structures in varying shades of brownish red to black. Most of these Montana agates are found in gravel deposits from the Pleistocene age in the area of the Yellowstone River and its tributaries.
Montana Agate is believed by some to help you balance emotions and is a powerful emotional healer.
The name Agate comes from the Achetes River in Sicily, where Agates were first found. Usually banded in layers, or stripes, some varieties have "eye" markings, or specks of color, some have fossilized inclusions, and others are solid. Called the earth rainbow, the concentric bands of Agate form in nearly every color the earth can produce, including a colorless form.
