Cool Tools resident artist, Karen Trexler studied metalsmithing and jewelry design in college and received a BFA from Ball State University. Karen then continued her studies at the University of Wisconsin - Madison, and received her MFA in the spring of 2018 before joining the Cool Tools team.

In this video, Karen creates a fine silver frog pin using FS999 Fine Silver Clay and our Ribbit Ready Mold. She fires the scattered pin in place. Once the piece is sintered and polished, she then applies enamel using the wet packing method. This is a great project for all levels of metal clay artists and enamelists!
