Pilot Mountain Turquoise Gemstone
Pilot Mountain Turquoise comes from a mine in western Neveda. This turquoise forms in hard veins with color ranging from bright blue to dark blue with a greenish cast. The matrix is typically composed of dark brown limonite mottled patterns. Most Pilot Mountain turquoise is called “grass roots”, meaning the best deposits are found within ten feet of the surface.
Turquoise was known in antiquity as "the truth stone," symbolizing a time to be honest with yourself.
This stone is set on a plastic base to give height in a setting.
