Picture Jasper is typically found in the mountains of Eastern Oregon. It is named for the “pictures” that turn up in the stone which look strikingly similar to the landscape they came out of. It's formed from mud that dripped into gas pockets in molten lava. Picture Jasper is linked to ideas, invention, expanded creativity, design, meditation, visions and travel; all that opens the mind.
