Natural Beeswax
Use to mount piece firmly to a work surface during polishing and
application of Accent Silver, alcohol inks or patina gel. Crushed carbon can be added to reduce
tackiness. Roll a piece into
a small flame shape to use to pick up and set stones or make a snake
of it to hold stones in place during setting. Beeswax can also be
softened (warmed to a butter consistency) and rubbed on to copper or
bronze to preserve a patina. A bit of turpentine can be added to melted
beeswax for a much harder finish. Either way, use a soft, lint-free
cloth such as a chamois and buff away the excess.
