Delicate Element Texture - Double Exposure
These silicone textures are specially designed to create beautiful, delicate designs using very small amounts of clay. Create intricate and lightweight elements individually or combine them to make more elaborate jewelry. Depending upon size, most designs will require only 2 or 3 grams of clay, allowing you to create more jewelry than you ever imagined with a single package of silver clay. Individual elements make for the lightest earrings, or, combine elements to create matching necklaces. Apply delicate elements to a metal clay backing to create brooches or to apply enamels. Making beautiful, delicate designs in metal clay couldn't be easier, fun or more economical.
IMPORTANT NOTE: EZ960 and FS999 is recommended. No other clay body will perform as well in the silicone texture. See Tech Specs for more information.
It is necessary to dry the clay while still embedded into the texture. Dry completely on a cup warmer or in a dehydrator set at 165°F for 5 to 7 minutes.

Due to the fragile nature of Delicate elements, we recommend EZ960 Sterling Silver Clay, as sterling silver is much stronger and more durable than fine silver. Use FS999 fine silver clay when using the elements with enamels. Using other clay bodies, to include base metal clays, is not recommended with these textures. Other clay bodies do not perform as well in the silicone texture, and are prone to tearing out as the excess clay is removed, or, elements can break as they are dried and removed from the texture.
Apply EZ960 or FS999 to texture and scrape away excess clay with a clay scraper. Dry the metal clay in the texture using heat - either a cup warmer or dehydrator set at 165°F is recommended. When dry, carefully remove the element from the texture. Refine if necessary and kiln fire.
