Natural Thunder Egg Agate Gemstone
Thunderegg stones usually contain centers filled with chalcedony and look like ordinary rocks on the outside, but slicing them in half and polishing them often reveals intricate patterns and colors.
A local native legend in Oregon states that the thunder spirits lived on the highest reaches of Mount Hood and Mount Jefferson. When they became angry at each other they threw these rocks at each other, hence the name Thunderegg.
