Try this new versatile bench block for all your stamping needs. 2" x 2" steel block sits inside rubber base. Hard vulcanized rubber is excellent when a softer surface is needed. Flip it over to reveal the steel block for flattening chasing and stamping. This block is not hardened. Do not hammer directly on the block. This block is best for planishing (flattening) and stamping.

Use the steel side for stamping, flattening, chasing, etc. Use the rubber side for sanding, finishing, drilling, etc. The rubber block absorbs shock from the steel bench block for quieter hammering that is less strain on the hand.
