Lavender oil has interesting properties for metal clay. Adding a few drops to PMC 3 silver clay paste makes oil paste for repairs and attaching pre-fired metals. Lavender oil is also used as a holding agent for enameling. See tips for use below. Art Clay offers a pre-made oil paste.

Use to make oil paste from PMC 3 for metal clay bonding and repair. Click for product details and mixing instructions.

Use Lavender Oil to mix your own oil paste. Oil paste is used to bond fired silver clay pieces together. Oil paste makes a superior bonding of pre-fired metal clay. This works wonderful for repairing breaks and assembling "fabrication style". Use 15 drop of this oil in a fresh container of PMC 3 paste. Allow to sit overnight to react with the binder. Stir before use. 1 Dram is 1/8 of an ounce or 3.6 mL.
